So essentially the game crashes once you login?
The game works just fine before you physically login yes?
If that is the case, I have reported this as a problem a couple times here, yet not many seem to experience this. It used to happen to me in intervals where it would not be a problem for a few days, then all of a sudden would happen to me nonstop for the next few days.
Essentially, i think it comes down to file corruption. I recently had some other game issues and went through a process with PlayNC Support to help solve the issue. Most of which i had already done, however, i found their suggestions to be quite useful.
Before actually logging in, press F11 to get to options and lower your graphics settings to the lowest settings. Then try to login, if that doesnt fix it, try::
Do a scan for viruses/worms/spyware.
Worst comes to worst, reinstall game.
After install, run the "-image" switcher to download all files applicable to your account up to date. To do this:

Scroll to the end of the line, hit the space bar then type "-image" (without the quotations)
Now click ok in that window.
Wait until the file refreshes, then double click the shortcut. Now sit back and watch many many many files being downloaded. Once completed, it will close itself. Now you can either delete the shortcut and use the main GW.EXE file to start the game OR go back and take "-image" out of the shortcut target line before using it.

Again, if your problem is anything like mine was, you HAVE to reinstall otherwise the problem will resurface all too often.
I have actually been repeating the above a lot lately cause more and more people seem to be having file corruption issues. I really hope you can fix it, and hope my humble tips helped.
cheers
